Asteroceras obtusum (Sowerby)
Beautifully preserved 3d calcitic Ammonite sitting on a pedestal of limestone. it can be totally removed from the matrix as it has 'popped' clean when found. To centre both sides. Really unusual.
Jurassic, Upper Sinemurian, Obtusum Zone.
Black Ven, Charmouth / Lyme Regis, Dorset.
Ammonite : 3.4 cm diam.
