Androgynoceras sp. & Amaltheus sp.

Base cut palm sized piece of limestone containing numerous bits of ammonites of two distinct types. One surface shows a 3D calcitic capricorn Androgynoceras lying close to a complete 3D early Amaltheus. This must be from a transitional bed as it is unusual to get these two genera together.

Jurassic, Pliensbachian.
Uppermost Davoei / lowermost Stokesi zones.
Bracebridge / Waddington area, Lincoln.

Specimen : 12.5 x 8.5 x 2.5 cm.
