Base cut free standing slab of a 'woodstone'. from Black Ven, Charmouth. The right-hand side is taken up with a large well preserved piece of fossil driftwood of the conifer, Pagiophyllum. At the top are two beautiful calcitic Ammonites. Along the left hand side are a whole series of broken Bivalves (Semuridia) which have all been washed in behind the log of wood.
