Alnus cf. parvifolia.
A well preserved almost complete leaf from an Alder tree. Dark brown on light brown siltstone. There are two irregular holes in the leaf caused by insect predation. probably caterpillars or ants. Interesting.
Middle Eocene, Kamloops Group. McAbee Fossil Beds, Tranquille Shale.
