Fine example of a tooth from the jaw of a Woolly Mammoth. Partly erupted and showing 10 laminae in wear, this tooth is from a young individual ( 5 years old, maybe) One of many to have died crossing the grasslands of what is now under the North Sea.
Pleistocene, Devensian.
